Research Products Sharmed, Child-Up and National Prin Project

The European project CHILD-UP, the European project SHARMED and the national PRIN project Migrant  children's participation and identity construction in education and healthcare offer sites rich in results and materials. They are principally aimed at schools. The PRIN project, on the other hand, involves not only schools but also health care settings that deal with children, particularly those of migrant origin.

These three projects offer accessible training as Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) that allow people to (i) print hard copies of each module and related materials for use in practice or (ii) participate in training directly online. Each MOOC module includes data on the different research contexts and age groups involved: in the form of transcripts of adult-child interactions, video and audio recordings, and tables. Each module includes questions that allow for self-assessment of learning and offers guidance for improving one's professional practices. Each MOOC can be undertaken individually or as part of a group training.

The CHILD-UP and PRIN archives are accessible through free online registration. These two archives are large repositories of research data, available to support work with children. The data included in the two archives offer examples of success in promoting children's agency in the form of transcripts, video or audio recordings, tables and summaries of results. The data in the two archives offer users the opportunity to compare the contexts of their work with other national contexts and other countries in which similar research was conducted.

The three projects also offer guidelines for the professional activities of practitioners working in the school and health sector with children.

If you are interested in accessing the MOOCs and/or the archives, please contact Sara Amadasi by e-mail, indicating in the subject line "Request for access to the CHILD-UP/SHARMED/PRIN archives/moocs".
