The Joint Student-Teacher Committee is appointed by the Department. Its responsibilities are defined in the University Statute and detailed further in the University Teaching Regulations. Its operations align with the guidelines set by the University Quality Committee.
In general, the Joint Student-Teacher Committee is tasked with:
- Drafting an annual report, using a template provided by the University Quality Committee, which includes recommendations to enhance the quality of teaching activities. The report specifically evaluates:
a) student satisfaction across various aspects of the degree programs, using the results of online teaching evaluation questionnaires, which are made available for each module;
b) whether the teaching programs and examinations are consistent with their learning objectives and do not create imbalances in study efforts or hinder students in their successful completion of the modules;
c) whether the program design aligns with labour market needs, whether the expected learning outcomes are effectively met, and whether the examination methods adequately assess student achievement;
d) whether the review process is followed by corrective measures, which are based on data related to the academic progress of attending students.
- Providing feedback on:
a) proposals for the setting up of new study programs, changes to existing programs, as well as the closure of current programs;
b) the appointment of professor and researcher positions within the Department, collaborating to ensure coverage and the smooth functioning of teaching activities. - Monitoring the implementation of corrective actions outlined in the Annual Reports produced by individual degree programs.
- Identifying and proposing solutions for any teaching-related issues that may arise during the academic year.
