People who are concluding their course of study can apply to take the final exam, in the case of a bachelor's degree, or discuss the thesis, in the case of a master's degree, in a disciplinary scientific field in which they have acquired CFUs.

It is necessary to request approval of the assignment of the topic of the final exam or thesis and the thesis chairperson from the course chairperson, using the Final Examination/Thesis Topic Request Form :

 The submission of the request must meet the following deadlines:

- 5 months before the discussion in the case of master's degrees

- 3 months before proclamation in the case of bachelor's degrees

The 5-credit final examination provided for bachelor's degrees does not involve discussion but only proclamation; it takes place on the last day of the graduation session, which generally coincides with Thursday.

Once the assignment of subject and speaker or rapporteur has taken place, it is necessary for the student(s) to complete all the requirements for graduation defined by the student secretary's office, from which the parchment will be collected in due course.

Finally, in the week before the week in which the graduation session is held, the committees are published. To take advantage of an accredited photographer, the University publishes the list in PHOTO SERVICES IN OCCASION OF GRADUATION SESSIONS. The “student form” for choosing a photographer can be downloaded from the above page and must be submitted by the Monday before the graduation session to francesca.bergamini@unimore.it.
